Cancellation & Refund Overview
ApnaSeat.in allows cancellation of online-booked tickets via the website, mobile app, or by contacting our support team. Cancellations must be made at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. After this window, cancellations and refunds are not possible.
Counter-booked tickets must be cancelled at the respective booking counter and are not eligible for online cancellation.
Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges are deducted per seat based on how far in advance you cancel before the scheduled departure:

Convenience charges and GST collected during booking are non-refundable.
How Refunds Are Processed
- Refunds are processed automatically upon ticket cancellation to the original payment method used during booking (UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, or wallet).
- Banks typically require 5-7 business days to credit the refund amount to your account.
- Please check your bank account statement as refunds may not always appear in UPI apps like GPay, PhonePe, or Amazon Pay.
- If the refund does not appear within 7 days post-cancellation, please contact our support team for assistance.
No-Show Policy
If a passenger does not board the bus at the designated boarding point and time ("no-show"), no refund will be provided. It is the passenger's responsibility to arrive at the boarding point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.
Operator-Initiated Cancellations
If a trip is cancelled by the bus operator for any reason, passengers will receive a full base fare refund or the option to reschedule for free with full fare credit. The refund is processed automatically and will reflect in your account within 5-7 business days. ApnaSeat.in will attempt to notify passengers via SMS, WhatsApp, and/or email but assumes no liability for notification delivery failures.
Rescheduling
- Rescheduling is allowed until 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- If a trip is cancelled by the operator, passengers may reschedule for free with full fare credit applied to the new booking.
- For active trips, standard cancellation charges apply to the original booking before rescheduling credit is calculated.
- Convenience charges remain non-refundable and are not included in rescheduling credit.
Partial Cancellations
For group bookings with multiple seats, you may cancel individual seats while keeping the remaining seats confirmed. Cancellation charges will apply only to the seats being cancelled.
Payment Failures
If a payment fails during booking but the amount is deducted from your account, the amount will be auto-refunded to your original payment method within 5-7 business days. If the refund does not appear, please contact support with your transaction ID.
